Professional Biography

Kristina is a doctoral student in the Clinical Science program at Florida International University (FIU) and a member of the Mental Health Interventions and Technology (MINT) Lab. Kristina is interested in studying school-based services for youth anxiety. Additionally, she is interested in examining interpersonal and developmental factors (e.g. accommodation, ASD) that influence the maintenance of internalizing symptoms during childhood.

Kristina completed her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology at Middlebury College. Following her graduation, she served as a Research Coordinator in the Pediatric Psychopharmacology Program at Massachusetts General Hospital and assisted with clinical trials for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Prior to her time at FIU, Kristina worked with Dr. Stefan Hofmann as a Research Technician at Boston University’s Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (BU CARD). At BU CARD, Kristina coordinated research studies examining mechanisms of change in psychotherapy for anxiety and related disorders.
