Professional Biography

Dr. del Busto is the Clinical Coordinator and Lead Clinical Supervisor of the Mental Health Interventions and Technology (MINT) Program, Center for Children and Families (CCF) at Florida International University.  Dr. del Busto has extensive clinical training in cognitive and behavioral treatments of childhood, with a specialty emphasis in anxiety disorders. Her research interests are focused on youth anxiety disorders, with a particular interest in increasing access to care in minority groups and enhancing the quality of mental health care provided for youth of all backgrounds.

Dr. del Busto received her B.S. with honors from Florida State University, and went on to receive her M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, with a Concentration in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from our very own Florida International University. Dr. del Busto completed her clinical psychology internship training at Citrus Health Network, a federally qualified community mental health center serving a diverse clinical population. She is currently completing a Postdoctoral Fellowship in the MINT Program, where she supervises student trainees and provides weekly and intensive treatment programs in English and Spanish for children with early anxiety and/or behavior problems, and specialty programs for youth with selective mutism, and other anxiety-related problems.
