Alyssa Dawson was the Program Coordinator for the Mental health Interventions and Novel Therapeutics (MINT) Program at Florida International University (FIU). Prior to her position with MINT, she was a Research Assistant with the MINT Program at Florida International University (FIU). As an undergraduate, Alyssa worked for 3 years in a private cheerleading facility teaching children ages 3-18 years old. With helping and teaching these children, it lead to her interests in childhood anxiety and how to help them cope with their anxieties. In 2021, Alyssa graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology. Alyssa completed her Master’s degree at Florida International University (FIU) in the Counselor Education Program: Clinical Mental Health Counseling Track.
