Professional Biography
Natalie Frech is the current Program Coordinator for the Mental Health Interventions and Technology (MINT) Program at Florida International University (FIU). She also worked as the Project Coordinator for the Advancing Child Competencies by Extending Supported Services (ACCESS) for Families Program at FIU. The ACCESS for Families Program is an NIH-funded randomized clinical trial with aims to explore behavior and developmental problems among young children. As an undergraduate, Natalie worked for 3 years in a private cardiology practice and volunteered as a research assistant for the MINT Program. In 2018, Natalie graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology and completed a minor in Health Services Administration. Natalie aims to continue her education in psychology so she can work to improve community health and well-being. Her main research interests include (1) parental distress and substance use disorders and their effect on child psychopathology, and (2) the accessibility of mental health treatment for traditionally underserved individuals.
